The purpose of the Outstanding Americans Awards Program is to honor men and women throughout the nation. These individuals come from all segments of our society, representing a variety of businesses and professions. Most honorees are dedicated to enriching the communities in which they live and the professions which they serve.

The annual listings of Outstanding Americas contain the names of young men and women who have been identified by our editors or have been nominated by outstanding civic and professional leaders, successful in their own fields. It is a story of successful young individuals who have been selected by successful and esteemed members of their own communities and professions. As such, they represent America's leadership of the present and potential for the future.

The Outstanding Americans awards volumes are, therefore, a record not only of today's achievements but also of tomorrow's promise.

The interest and encouragement of business and community leaders makes possible the publication of this nationally known award volume. Besides those selected by our editors, nominators from all areas of the nation submit the names of young men and women who they believe represent the best in American leadership. Nominees are the choice of college and alumni groups, city and state officials,Chambers of Commerce, and leading civic organizations as well. Those candidates who meet selection standards developed over more than 30 years of biographical publishing experience are featured in the on line edition of Outstanding Women and Outstanding Men awards volume. To be nominated is in itself an honor to the nominees,their organizations, and the areas they serve.

Detailed biographies of those nominees who meet selection standards will be included in the annual on line award edition. It is important to note that acceptance into the Outstanding Americans program has never been contingent on the purchase of any volumes or merchandise. There is no financial obligation whatsoever to participating nominators, nominees, or organizations represented. Nominees accepted each receive an Award Certificate of Recognition, inscribed in their name without charge and may purchase an awards volume if they should choose.
